Southwire Advanced Dual Range NCV 12 1000V AC
Southwire 40150N is an advanced dual range non-contact AC voltage detector with a convenient work light. It features audible and visual indication of AC voltage on two ranges: 12 to 1000V and 100 to 1000V. Bi-color LED verifies tester is on and range selected, red LED and beeper indicates voltage is detected. The yellow LED light indicates that the tic tester is in low voltage mode. The non contact voltage tester features a rugged IP67 WATERPROOF and dust tight housing and features a built-in forward and rear facing flashlight for user convenience in dim lighting. With electricity safety is paramount so it features CAT IV rating at 1000V and is UL Listed. This unit is not designed for use with Tamper Resistant (TR) outlets. This unit is built to help electricians have a great indicator of live power. It features a pocket clip for easy access and storage and the low power feature will indicate when the batteries need to be changed. Testing a wire is very easy with this unit.

The tester will not detect voltage if the voltage is DC; Wire is shielded or in a grounded metal box or conduit; the user is not grounded or is isolated from earth ground; the detector tip cannot be fully inserted into the electrical outlet; the electrical outlet is a Tamper Resistant design; the user is not holding the detector or the user’s hand is insulated from the detector (i.e. with a glove); the voltage source or wire is partially buried.
